this reason, I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles—
2 Surely you have heard about the administration of the grace of God that He gave to me for you, 3 that is, the mystery He has made known to me by revelation, as I have briefly written already. 4 By reading this, you may be able to understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ, 5 which was not made known to people in other generations, as it has now been revealed to His holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit: 6 that is, the Gentiles have been made fellow heirs, members of the same body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel.
7 I have become a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace that was given to me by the working of His power. 8 Although I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given to me to proclaim to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, 9 and to provide insight for all about the administration of the mystery hidden for ages in God, who created all things. 10 This is so that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, 11 according to His eternal purpose, which He has accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord. 12 In Him we have boldness and confident access through faith in Him. 13 So I ask you, therefore, not to be discouraged over my suffering for you, for they are your glory.
14 For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom His whole family in heaven and on earth takes its name. 16 I pray that according to the riches of His glory He may strengthen you with power in your inner person through His Spirit, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and firmly established in love, 18 may have the power to comprehend with all the saints what is the length and width and height and depth of God’s love, 19 and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
20 Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or think, according to His power that is at work within us, 21 to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen.
